The Breaks ’80 (Track 2-31HHT)
I continue my Hip-hop Tribute using the beat from the 1980 hit The Breaks by Kurtis Blow. Selecting my 1979 track, Rappers Delight, was easy because of its commercial popularity and being recgonized as the first recorded rap song. Identifying other popular songs in the 80s was difficult for me becuase I was either a) not born yet or b) too young to remember. So I searched on Google and found this site that lists the hits out by year.
