This past week I didn’t get a chance to post as many articles as usual because I just came off of a mini vacation and I had to play catch up. What I have been doing is writing and working on new music. In the video accompanying this description, I spit a few bars to let yall know I’M STILL WRITING! Read More
There was a talent show a couple of weeks ago at my full time gig and of course I HAD to grace them with my presence. Knowing that my job is very diverse I had to do a song that most (or all) of the audience can relate to. So I did a song about my job, in particularly, Bagel Friday. Every Friday the company provides its employees with free bagels. I figured why not rap about that and so I did … Check out the audio and video below

This past weekend I was in Maryland visiting my gf, as I normally do. When it was time for me to come back up north (Sunday 3/15/09), my car wouldn’t start. Background Story:
One day my cousin, Trillz, calls me excited about a verse that he just wrote. He spits it for me over the phone, and I agree it’s pretty dope. Then he’s like, “Yo Rey you should get on this with me” and I say, “Aight.” A few days later I had my verse, we got in the studio, and above is the outcome.
Inspiration:
I was listening to this instrumental on my way to work trying to figure out what I wanted to say. I had a general direction of where I wanted to take it b/c Trillz already had a concept. As i listened to the track I started to mumble to myself (very Jay-Z like) and the words came out
“This is what ever man, I an never understood the plan…”
That was the starting point. The topic was relationships and the complexities of it. So I though my EXs and the crazy stuff that I’ve been through
“All the stories that you telling me/ You telling me you feeling me/ But the pressure is killing me/ Got me fuck up and you feeling like Hillary”
After reciting this to myself a couple of times, I was convinced that I had something. The rest is history.
I actually did this as soon as I heard the Kanye joint. Well actually… as soon as I got my hands on the instrumental. I like how Kanye stepped outside the box on this one. I was inspired to get out of my comfort zone as well and be a little playful with it. Take a listen and enjoy…
