The Six Types of Rappers (Part 2 of 2)
The above video is a continuation of my categorization of the six different types of rappers (see The Six Types of Rappers Part 1 to get caught up). As I did in part one, below I have quick descriptions and examples of the remaining 3 types that I talk about in this video.
Story Teller – Makes music with a plot that has a beginning, middle and end (or sometimes end, middle and beginning).
Example: Nas -Rewind
Lyricist – Creates verses with a focus on word play and using literary tools such as metaphors, smilies, and double entendres
Example: Royce Da 5’9 freestyle
Emcee - Contains all the type of rappers in one Party, Street, Battle, Story Teller, and Lyricist
Example: Andre 3000 – Art of Story Telling
