Rey on Gay Marriage

November 13th, 2008 · 4 Comments

“So Rey, what do you think about gays getting married”

I don’t care.

Gay marriage has nothing to do with my life or lifestyle. One way or the other my life will not be affected.

If I had to vote I’d say, “sure go head, let gays get marriage.” Shit why not. What does marriage mean anyway (besides the lifetime commitment thing)? Living together? Paying bills together? Filing taxes together? What’s the difference between marriage and a domestic partnership? The only thing I could think of is the religious aspect of it, but I’m not religious, so that’s out the window.

I’m not saying that I don’t believe in marriage or that I won’t get married. I’m just saying that it’s not that big of a deal.

Shit, if people want to get married to their cats, dogs, gold fish, what ever, I say let em.

How Rich People Spend There Time

July 10th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I just read an article about how rich people spend their time and it’s ridiculous. According to the article they spend most of their time worrying about making more money and not engaging in passive leisurely experiences.

When I become rich I will focus most of my time on family, friends and fun (and the rest on making more money). We all know what family and friends are but what is “fun”? Fun may be different from person to person. Passively watching TV 18 hours a day may be fun for one person and mind numbingly boring for another (I’m the later).

I have the most fun when I’m being creative or engaging in challenging physical activity (sports). That’s is what I’ll spend my time doing when I’m richer than I am now. How about you?
